Grass tennis courts benefit from automated tennis court watering systems to ensure the surface is at its best throughout the entire season.

Our grass tennis court irrigation systems usually entail using pop-up sports sprinklers located around the perimeter of the court, away from the actual playing surface. The sprinklers will be connected together using underground pipework and an irrigation controller will automatically operate the watering system early in the morning to ensure that the surface is playable during the day.

The pressures and flows involved mean that a water storage tank and pump unit are required to operate the system. The irrigation tanks used are pre-assembled and the whole tennis watering system can be installed with the aid of a landscaper.

There are number of benefits from tennis court watering. The playing surface will be lush and green even during the hottest summer and any wear on the court will recover more quickly if the court has plenty of water. Automation of the system allows the courts to be watered at dawn when play is unlikely to occur. The cool temperatures will also ensure evaporation of the water is minimised and the soil will readily absorb the water.
