Bowling green watering systems have a number of benefits. They ensure a consistent playing surface as the grass is kept in good condition even in warm weather. The green itself will also look great even in hot and dry weather. As the system can be automated, it will reduce the time taken to maintain the bowling green.

The bowling green watering packages are designed to be installed by someone competent at DIY. The water supply pipe run around the perimeter of the bowling green and 4 sprinklers will water the entire area.

The watering packages include a water storage tank to comply with the Water Regulations, a pre-assembled pump package, a controller with the option of remote operation using a wi-fi connection and underground pipework and pop-up sprinklers.

The automated watering controller allows either daily watering early in the morning, of less frequent watering with longer watering duration to ensure deeper penetration of the moisture. Dawn is normally the best time to water the bowling green as the wind tends to be more still around dawn and evaporation rates are lower when the air is cool. Any disruption to playing time is also minimised.
