Hand Watering
Hand watering is a time-consuming process and, unless done by experienced staff, coverage can be irregular. Ensure the plants in your nursery receives the best care by installing an automated nursery irrigation system.
If hand watering is preferred, then Access can supply a range of hand watering equipment including hoses and watering lances.
Tunnel Watering
A nursery irrigation system will water your tunnels, standing out areas, trees and bedding plants before staff arrive in the morning, freeing them up to concentrate on other tasks. Tunnel watering systems consist of overhead watering lines with nozzles spaced uniformly down the length.
Standing out areas
Modern nursery irrigation systems are extremely efficient, with high watering uniformity. Standing out areas can be watered using overhead sprinklers running down the centre of each standing out bed. Timers can automate watering early in the morning. We have the nursery irrigation supplies and equipment to get your system up and running, including drippers, drip watering lines, trickle tape and more.
Automated control of nurseries
To reduce the cost of hand watering and improve efficiency, irrigation controllers are designed to bring the watering system on early in the morning when there is no-one about and evaporation rates are low. Generally a water storage tank and pump will provide a reliable pressurised supply. From the pump supply pipes run around the nursery and control valves operate in different zones of the nursery.
