A range of professional quality battery irrigation controllers for either tap mounting or fitting into an underground valve box. The long life batteries will operate the watering controller for an entire season.
Battery irrigation controllers have the advantage that they are easy to fit, with no electrical power socket needed in the garden. In addition, for the waterproof battery operated irrigation controllers that can be fitted into underground valve boxes, it means the valves and controller can all be in one place with no underground signal cables needed.
If the battery irrigation controller needs to be mounted on the tap, then a manifold assembly can be supplied so that a number of different areas can be watered from a single controller.
A range of controllers are available including water-proof units suitable for underground valve boxes and wall mounted controllers for easy programming. Single zone watering controllers are available as well as multi-zone models.
To prolong battery life, the irrigation controllers use 9v latching solenoid valves to operate. If the watering controller is remote from the valves then low voltage signal cable must be used to connect the controller to the valves – however, some battery controllers can only have very short cable runs – see individual models.
Controllers can be programmed to operate multiple times per day and either water every day of selected days of the week. Some controllers are also available with rain sensors to over-ride the watering during wet times.
