Having an automated irrigation system is fantastic, but what is even better is being able to control this system remotely. Remote controlled irrigation is extremely convenient as you will not need to keep having to access the controller – you’ll be able to control the whole system using an App via your smartphone.

Another benefit of using the App is that you can see an overview of all the times and durations you have programmed at the touch of a button – which is especially useful if your irrigation system includes several zones. A remote-controlled irrigation system allows you to control the system from the comfort of your own home, without needing to go outside into the garden – or indeed from anywhere in the world if using a Wi-Fi compatible controller. So, you could be on holiday abroad in Spain or the Caribbean for example, and be able to alter your irrigation system for your garden at home at the touch of a button!

Here at Access Irrigation, we supply advanced, next generation Wi-Fi controllers using the industry-leading Hydrawise platform. Hydrawise technology automatically adjusts watering based on highly accurate, internet-sourced local weather data. The system looks at the forecast and past history to ensure that just the right amount of water is applied. This is accomplished via advanced Predictive Watering, which fine-tunes watering based on the weather data – leading to significant water savings. So, a Hydrawise system doesn’t just save you time, it also saves you money! Hydrawise technology also uses the Virtual Weather Station (VWS), based on the geographic location of each controller. Additionally, Hydrawise technology even allows you to monitor the state of your piping system if a flow meter, which we also supply, is included. The technology will provide automatic alerts when a pipe is broken, or leak has occurred – enabling you to repair the damage before it becomes a problem. Hydrawise also integrates with popular smart home products such as Control4 and Amazon Alexa – enabling complete home and garden automation.

Hydrawise Commercial Controller (HCC)

The next-generation HCC controller is ideally suited to high-end residential, commercial, and public-sector projects as it boasts up to 54 separately programmed zones – enabling full automation over a substantial area.

Hydrawise Pro-HC Controller

The advanced Hydrawise Pro-HC Controller is ideal for medium to large gardens – as it has a choice of 6, 12 or 24 zones, depending on the size of the garden.

Both controllers also allow the flexibility of up to 6 separate start times per zone – with 2 zones being able to operate simultaneously if required.

Hunter X2 Controller – Add wi-fi module for wi-fi connectivity

This excellent, reliable controller is well suited for small to medium gardens, having a choice of 4, 8 or 14 zones. Additionally, this controller allows the flexibility of 4 separate start times per zone. There is a separate Wi-Fi module that will need to be added to enable Wi-Fi connectivity.

Bluetooth Operated Tap Timer Controllers

If you are on a budget, or have a smaller, more basic system, we also supply Bluetooth operated, battery-powered tap timer controllers which would be ideal. These can operate either one zone or two zones, again being able to be used via a smartphone App for complete convenience. For further convenience, if you wanted to expand the system to include more tap timers, your smartphone would be able to manage as many as you required. For flexibility, 4 start times per zone are included, with programmed run times varying from 1 second to 24 hours. These Bluetooth controllers have a maximum remote-control distance of 10m, allowing them to be operated from inside your home or from the far side of the garden for example.
